ICS M16A3

Well just bought this off DB19 and I plan on keeping it for awhile! Many thoughts on exterior upgrades over the next couple years!

No kidding, mine changes every few months... nice to see another ICS, and glad to hear that Dustin sold it... just try to hang onto this one for a bit longer hey? haha

Well I was swtiching trying to find the gun that really fit me and all that was left was an AUG and a few others. I always wanted an ICS Armalite and when this came up... so yeah I plan on holding onto it for awhile.

i love my ics m16-a3,



what i have noticed about mine is that i have differant trademarks than other ics -a3's anyone know why?

could be aftermarket, or did you buy it brand new like that?

yes i bought it brand new like that,one thing that attracted me was the trades. (sure doesnt look new anymore eh?) bought in march 06.

Thats because you have the Olympic Arms version Six4 which is a different version. The Olympic Arms are also known as SRC. When ICS first started making guns by the Olympic Arms company, they had to pass an inspection of sorts by Olympic Arms (A real gun company) and thus were allowed to stamp their guns with the OA name. After awhile ICS got rid of the OA name and trademarks. Think of your gun like a Version 1.

yeah ,,,rifle has been passed around to players more times than a drunken redhead, looks pretty beat up after a year or so of abuse but performance is till solid. i took these pics from home here in mission.

cooooool!! finaly an answer i knew mine was version one but did not know why. thanks for the help.

Really? I was always under the impression the the Olympic Arms were the V1 for ICS...

Umm yup, my bad, but what I think I was thinking was that the OA stamped ones were the V1's, so that would make six4's around V3 or something like that...

You can still get current OA guns from ICS in the U.S. They are 2005 versions, or the first incarnation of the split gearbox design.

2006+ versions come with Turbo 3000, steel bushings and Colt trades, except in the U.S., where Colt trades are forbidden due to copyright infringement. Olympic Arms has an agreement with ICS to use their trades.

Hey Drache, what's with your ICS? Sorry if I'm a bit behind the times, but I saw it up on ASC...

ICS M4 has 3 version and soon to be have the 4th one out.

V1 ICS trades (US market) and OA trades.
V2 OA trades Turbo 2000
V3 COLT trades with Turbo 3000 and electric improvement
V4 COLT trades with 2007-2008 improvement
