| I thought those radios were found... Shoot, that is not cool. Did people just walk away with them? I think that award badges and patches are a great idea. You can also bulk buy rank badges, thus carry over participation and rank. Ie. use chevrons: Corporal RankI agree, the club should look at club purchases. I don't think club propane adaptors and such are a good idea, again, like the radios only a select few will use them. But props! oh how some more props would be nice, ie first aid velcro bandages, cannons, claymores, field materials, moviable field defences, etc. I would gladly pay more for field fees if the fees actually went towards the field. Again, the same problem, we don't have a club field that we can dump money into, but if the PB field takes off, we can always do sandbagging again... -Doug | |

| I totally agree with Doug. Patches are purely for show if we aren't playing in other cities as a team. If the increase in field fees goes to props, I don't have a problem with it. Dave, I think that people, such as yourself and the other admins here on the site, should definitely be rewarded for the extra time you put into running the club and the website. However, club members should be attending games because they want to play, not because they are going to get a free arm patch. Attendance at games does not necessarily reflect the desire to play and be a part of the club. I would be at every game if I lived closer to PG, and there are likely people in PG who would be at every game if they didn't have to work weekends. So in effect you'd be penalizing members who have financial responsibilities that may prevent them from playing weekends, or who just live too far away to make attending every game affordable. I don't mean to be an asshole, but during the summer when the University students went back home and were too far away to make it to the games, or when you had to work in camp and couldn't make it, you weren't penalized. So why penalize people who have those problems/responsibilities all year long? Attendance does not necessarily equate to commitment to the club. | |

| If it is ok with you Horton, would we be able to start a new ordering thread?
I guess it would state the relative prices for people, ie 5 people in order means each badge would be ... 10 people, etc...
Also, what is your minimum order for this to go ahead? Once it is digitized, we will be able to order more at any period of time, or do they only hang on to the data for 1 year or something? Also, is it possible to get additional stitching done to it, i.e. adding our personal tag to it?

| As in digitized for a stitching machine? There are many different brands of machines that take different software and formats. If you are able to find what format of digitization the store in PG takes, we can download and digitize the images ourselves. I doubt that once they digitize it, they will give us the file on a disk, or am I wrong on that? http://www.buzztools.com/demo_menu.asphttp://www.swfeast.com/embroidery_software/design_maxx_expert.htmlOr we can not digitize... Wow, some of that stuff is complex... -Doug | |

| an image or a design file? Hopefully a design file, then we will be able to modify it ourselves to include additional elements as they are needed (ie color changes, additional wording, player numbers/names, etc.).
I am going to start a new order thread. Jump on the band wagon if you are interested in getting a patch.
