| Subject: N00B starter kit - Ottawa Sun 04 Mar 2007, 12:23 pm | |
| From http://www.ottawavalleyairsoft.ca/Ok Guy's here ya go. I'm offering a FREE set of used Parklands Cadpat Bdu's an OD chest rig and a pair of desert boots to a Noob to airsoft. My Only requirements as to who gets it are these following guidelines. You have to be starting your first full season of Airsoft in the Ottawa area. If you already have a set of bdu's and boots etc please don't ask for this..let someone who is just starting and needs it get a shot at it. You must be a local player (eastern Ontario/western Quebec) and you also must be 18 or over ( I know it's not a gun but to play you need to be 18+). I will accept Post's only in this thread and no pm's as I don't know most of the new players and would like to keep the draw public. I will add all the names in a hat and make the draw Next Saturday March 10 2007. Here are the details of the kit included.
X1 Size Large Parklands Boonie
X1 set of SF modified Parklands Cadpat Bdu's. (these are used and faded but still have alot of life left in them). Size XL They fit a bit big on me so they should be fine for even the biggest guy's out there.
X1 Pair Desert boots with no clog soles. These have seen little use as I went with gortex shortly after buying these. They did get torn near the very top of the boot but were professionally repaired. Size 10 Regular
X1 OD Arktis chest rig. This is in great shape and has been spray painted Tan and Brown for extra camo and super leetness. (That load bearing looks like Nic's)"As mentioned before, to keep games looking good." Not that we would give away a free kit but have one available for use to a first timer, and rent for anyone else. We really should try to have games in full gear. Our new member requirements are great in that they require a full BDU to become one, but for people wanting to try out the sport, I think having a tester set would get them more excited and motivated to join. Makes them feel welcomed. I will donate my CadPat pants. Anyone else have some spare gear that they would donate to the club? Rental fees of the kit (to non-first timers) would go towards the club coffers. I intend to have this as not to compete with anyone renting gear, but as a welcoming to any new players who might not realize elsewise. -Doug | |
