SHOOTING CHRONY® is made of 20 gauge steel but weighs less than 2½ pounds. It is powered by one 9 Volt alkaline battery (not included) and equipped with a large LCD-readout, 0.5" high. When folded, a SHOOTING CHRONY® measures 7½" long, 4½" wide, and 2¾" high. Every SHOOTING CHRONY® comes with an adjustable size, triangular shooting area from 8"×8" to 14.5"×14.5". The sides of the triangular shooting areas are made of wire-rods; the top of the triangle is formed by a 2¼" wide strip of tough, Hi-density polyethylene plastic, 1/8" thick. All shooting is done through the center of this triangular area, along the axis of the chronograph.
SHOOTING CHRONY® measures the speed of bullets, arrows, shotgun & airgun pellets, paintballs, et cetera, from 30/fps. to 7000/fps. and with better than 99.5% accuracy. It can go with you anywhere. Just unfold (like a book), mount onto a tripod or place on a table, insert diffusers (if required) and shoot in less than 2 minutes.

Wow, that sounds like a really nice peice of equipment!

Can it do a Rate of Fire measurement? I would be nice to make a database of everyones guns FPS and ROF.

There was another offer but it was a cheaper unit with fewer features and less accuracy. I love that you can shoot arrows through this one and get the FPS. COOL! Were totally going to spend a whole day just playing with our guns and measuring everyones fps and whatnot. Should be here bt monday.

Yeah, good purchase, it can give us an average for a grouping a shots. No more guessing what our FPS is, this thing will average our FPS, give us our std.dev. and we will have a very good idea on what our guns are shooting. But no rate of fire

Um, why do you want to measure the FPS of arrows? Are you going to show up at a game dressed like Robin Hood and take everyone out? Or are you going to make Airsoft Missles?

Not sure why I mentioned the arrow thing. I do have the tights though.

If you want to do rate of fire I'll take my shirt off and someone can time 1 second. Just count the welts in one second (WIOS).
