| I was reading on the legal matters of airsoft from redwolf and it stated that airsoft guns are not illegal in canada, but the shipping of them over the border to canada is. Where did every one get these TMs and others if they cant come across the border? Is the statement false or is there some loophole that Im missing? | |

| Wrong section.
Anyways, airsoft guns aren't specifically illegal, not necessarily legal. They are in what we call the 'Grey' area. They fall between the lines of a replica firearm and a pellet gun. Hence why we, as none import carrying citizens, cannot import airsoft guns.
That some what answers your next question, but there used to be a bunch of airsoft dealers, Rangers, Spec Arms, A&A, 007, Airsoft Kelwona... the list goes on, but due to some bad moves and some logical thinking many of the retailers are once again pulling shoot and not importing guns.
There used to be a few people who also had their own import licenses and were doing group orders, but they are far and few. They also face many different implications and have to jump through many hoops to obtain their guns, so in the end not worth while. It also gets harder the more you do it, as customs are pretty tight with this sort of thing.
I guess I should also mention that there are people who import guns for movies and such. They too have to have a license, but that is another way guns make it onto the market.
Hope that answers your questions. Head over to Airsoft Canada and check out their FAQ's or I believe we have some here and read it for yourself. | |
