Brad I was told that the sniper teams had to at least be wearing part of a gillie. We would be fine playing just normal grunts, either or, but probably not going to be using ghilli. so Dave give me a call with what you want Tony and I to bring. Brad

Brad from Practical Tactical gave me an update on his hours, I don't know if he has any ghillie suits in or not though. You would have to go look. - PracticalTactical wrote:

| How hard is your sniper shooting? The reason why I'm asking is that there is very strict rules to using the sniper rifles that are shooting near the max fps. There was a discusion quite a while ago about the rules that aply to snipers. Long story short absulutly no head shots, no shots with in 50 feet. must have a side arm because of the long range limit. I'm not trying to discurage you, it's just that I want you to be aware of the rules and restrictions that aply to snipers. Also If you aren't using a sniper that shoots near the club fps the slow rate of fire will just get you shot up because the aeg's will have the same range or better. | |

Just a quick google search found this... Well L96 Sniper - Well AWP Version 2 Spring Airsoft Sniper Rifle - Capacity: 30 Rounds - 320 fps (0.2 g BB) - Adjustable Hop Up - Includes - Metal Folding Retractable Bipod and 3-9x30 Scope - Adjustable Length Butt Stock - Integrated Front and Top Scope Rail from here... http://willyfogg.com/p34392170/well_l96_sniper/Review here... http://www.eairsoftsniperrifles.com/airsoft-gun-reviews/quality-review-of-the-well-l96-airsoft-sniper-rifle/So basically shooting the same FPS or slightly higher as most aeg's on the field but at a much slower rate. So in the field if you shoot once, and give away your location, anyone nearby with a full auto AEG will rain 300bb's on you by the time you can cycle your bolt action for a second shot. That's the only problem with sniper rifles in this type of game, although movies glorify being a sniper it usually isn't practical in actual games, now you could spend $1000 to upgrade it to a level that would give it a range advantage but then there is the scenario where you get into a good shooting position after crawling on your belly for an hour and the battle scene picks up and moves in minutes to where you are not. Not to discourage you but it seems most ppl believe getting into airsoft and they are gonna be an ubber sniper then find they rarely even get to shoot more than 2 or 3 shots. The average gameplay is fast moving and changes areas a lot, sniping usually isnt practical. Having a full auto aeg and shooting till your hearts content or till you run out of ammo is where the fun usually is. Just some thoughts. Horton does have rentals available and it might make your first airsoft experience more enjoyable being a grunt and running and gunning.

| i really gotta switch my aep for an aeg haha
How much is this game for non-members??? $10?
I'd help out if I could move the walls, but all I got to work with is my bro's cherokee. If the game starts at 10am (briefing at 11am) will we meet up at Timmies on the Hart at 9:30-ish then?
On a side note for Brad of Tactical Practical, some people might run low on BBs or need masks. I'm good for BBs but maybe for others if they go BB crazy or we run out of rental masks or etc... Not sure, good idea??
