| Do you mean the lower receiver of an Armalite? If that's what you mean the reason is on a real firearm the lower receiver of an AR is the actual firearm since that is where the serial number is on the real steel. In Canada AR are restricted firearms.
If that's not what you mean my apologies I'm not sure what you mean by "metal magazine receivers". | |
