Finally got my AEG back together, I have no hesitation taking a version 2 gearbox apart anymore. Replaced all the bearings, re-shimmed the gears, cleaned and re-lubed the gearbox with some "Ultra Slick" brand synthetic lube. Found some replacement o-rings at Home Hardware for the piston, seems to work really well, can feel the difference moving the piston back and forth by hand. It's a 3/4"x15/16"x3/32" in the home plumbing isle. Put in a slightly stronger spring and holy cow! It's sends bb's a sailin! WoOt!!! I did buy a new pinion gear for it but couldn't get the old one off the motor. Oh well it's easy to get the motor out if I need to.
