So, I've been watching this M14 by WE for a while and Ehobby is stocking it... Anyone know where I can get one?

WHAT?! they're $350 in the US!

It kinda makes sense considering guns in US money that are around $200 are about $400 canadian

but why?

Our dollars aren't the exact same value compared to the american dollar

our dollar isn't worth .50c american, its more like .95c

according to currency exchange:
350 U.S. dollars = 360.114908 Canadian dollars

Then maybe all the taxes are included in the price?

The cost of bringing them in. Supply and demand, if you can bring them in without having them seized guaranteed for less than double the US price then fly at it. Double the US price or a bit less seems to be standard.

hmmm. I'm tempted to get my uncle to pick one up for me in the states.

What are the import laws like for the clear bodies these days? I've been hearing a lot about how they've changed

my best advice is doing some reading and question on ASC. You will be all sides of the argument there but make sure you read more than ask.

We have been putting them to the test by ordering first cheaper and then full on metal aegs from across the border and everything is making it across. Everything has been declared airsoft and is in original box clearing outline the contents via marketing of retail box....and catagorized as 'Airsoft' on customs tags.

I know my test (a non clear shottie) was opened and checked by customs....and then sailed on thru.

Thats all I and the bunch down here in 100 Mile House know. ASC is great if you just want the speculation. Then are also VERY protective of the status quo and well defend the status of their merchants. To be fair everyone there HAS been thru a lot of ....stuff....

Thats another reason we have been testing the legit import waters, and to date being upfront has paid off.

That's some good news Mikhail, keep us updated on your ventures. I certainly would enjoy not having to pay stupid high prices anymore.

I'm assuming we still can't import from overseas? You mentioned re-import is why i ask.
