Mag Slip Empty
PostSubject: Mag Slip   Mag Slip EmptyThu 17 Mar 2011, 7:03 pm

Hey there ") I bought a couple of extra mags for my KJW P226 (both are KJW) and one of them has a habit of slipping out of the magwell. I haven't seen any scratches or markings on the mag at all and there have been absolutely no problems with either of the other two. Any ideas?

Where the mag release goes into the mag is the top edge of that notch more rounded than the others?

Not so much rounded, no. On the top edge on the far side of the mag the notch has a bit of wear through the paint. I worked the mag in and out a few dozen times and it looks as though the top edge of the release notch is somehow rubbing but the mag itself looks the same as the other two (other than the wear marks). I am so totally stumped ")

Edit: I took a bit of emery cloth to the area around the notch in question and I can now see a small slope on the top edge (which would be the rounded difference you spoke of((I think))). If I smack the bottom of the mag it will lock into place in the magwell. I'd just rather not physically abuse it, lol.

Don't know if it's the same issue i had, but my mags slipped too...turned out i was being too gentle putting it in the gun. Try using a bit more force **carefully**, or give a good smack once it's in.

If that doesn't work then perhaps it's a dimension issue, assuming the other mags work fine.
