O kay, now this guy made some office space mines. Granted, the ones he made look rather dangerous, soooo why not put in BB's in place of sharp little paperclips? I did...
Code:
http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/3807/components2lu.jpg

It works pretty good. I wouldn't expect any of the BB's to hit more than one person. Still, it only took me less than an hour to make. Including the scavenging I had to do for the office stuff. My idea.... get everyone to make one in place of paying one game fee. Then all those little mines can be apart of the club. I dunno, it's an idea...

Cool idea. Swap the elastics for a good spring and you are set.

Both Gryph and Frag have brought trip mines to games. Both times they were quite effective at killing members on the same team. Great that they were super effective, just a shame they seem better at killing your own team members (look at my avatar, you will get the idea Razz ).

As for waiving field fees, it would be easier to make them with the stored up club fees. Many members have brought home-made items, ranging from mines, flagging, to cannons. For the sake of micro-management, it is easier to make stuff for yourself and keep track of it yourself. Looking at how much of the dynamite has gone missing, I would hate to see that with more expensive items!

The mouse trap trip wire that sets of a cap only cost $0.26 and it's easy to make.

for the landmines you just gotta search around...

http://www.airsoftkelowna.com/miscellaneous.htm - this link shows you the CO2 mines.

http://flutterby.com/archives/photo.cgi?id=2127 - this is a link to a homebuilt flower thrower

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/27/Smine-diagram.jpg - and this is for a German landmine.

I've come across a few pictures of the internals of several CO2 airsoft mines, but never a full Do-It-Yourself schematic. If you want inspiration try this website: http://www.hackaday.com/

Most of the guys on that site are probably related to DAES

They use vortex cups that allow extreme feeding and shooting.
