| This one is for the more experienced players we have (Doug, Dave, Mike, etc.) - I'd like to avoid destroying yet ANOTHER battery. My batt is a KAN NI-MH 8.4 V 7x2/3A 100 MAh, and the charger has SEVERAL settings - 9.6V, 8.4V and 7.2V. It also has a dial for 3.0AH, 2.4AH. 2.0AH, 1.8AH and 1.3AH. Now I already KNOW that it needs to be set to 8.4V to match the battery, but what about the other dial??? | |

| I am guessing you have a smart charger. Match both the voltage and the AH. I am guessing that your battery is not 100mah but something else. If it is a small battery NiMH, it is 1200 mAH, a large NiMH 1600-3000 mAH. This means put your charger at 1.3 AH (1300 mAH) or what ever matches your battery.
If you have a "dumb" charger, put it on the lowest AH output and charge from there, trickle charge it is possible. Slow but dependable.

| My charger charges really hard, I watch it and check it every 10 mins. Your battery should not take more that 30-60 mins to charge unless it is a really beast. It you still feel uncomfortable, give me a shout and I can get you set up nicely.

| Anyone...again about the battery
-On the back, there's also a dial for AC100-120V, and AC200-240V...I'm assuming for my battery type (as described above) - it would it would be AC100-120V? | |

| That is for what type of wall outlet/socket you have, ie. North American or Japanese. I think we are 120v and Japan is 240v.

| Yuurei, the best advice I can give you is, I'd take up Daes' of coming over to charge your battery. He'll teach you what things to be set at and so what... if you can't wait till he gets home, then set everything at the lowest, or what matchs the markings on your battery the best and baby it. Sit around testing your battery for warmth and such to make sure you don't fry another battery... | |
