| Hey Guys, I went out and plunked away at a few noobs the other weekend, and I noticed that my BB's were not even making half the distance they used to. I opened up my gun and looked at my hop up and nothing seems to be the problem. So I was wondering what you guys thought about this. Do I just need to lube it up some? Clean my barrel? Let me know.
Thanks

| Check your nozzle (the thing that is coming out of your mechbox), it could be warped and not providing a proper seal. If you are using those stupid M4 split hop-ups, make sure that it is properly sealed too, or just upgrade to a one-piece hop-up (SystemA should give me an advertising contract).

| after you lube the huo-up it'll take a couple hundred rounds before it starts to shoot normaly agian. I just bought a new Gaurder rubber and I would not recomend it. My hop-up is still shooting way to high. | |

| Check the nozzle for any distortion or bending. If that is perfect, then shoot with your ejection port open and see if you can feel and air coming out or movement of the split hop-up.

| Does your port have a hole in it? If not that means there is a seal issue, somewhere air is leaking out, which will effect fps, range and accuracy. | |

| ok, I don't know then, It's a classic army scar-l, mostly stock, I personally haven't taken it apart further than a basic breakdown. As far as I know the gearbox has only been opened by Horton to re-shim n lube and it's running a TM motor. | |

| The FPS has always been low on that SCAR L. Much lower than it should be. My guess has been an air leak somewhere. I think it's a port cylnder. | |

| It shoots as good as your aug that I used in the last game but when I noticed a blast of air coming out of the "breech" when I held it open during firing, it wondered if that was the culprit as to why it shoots at a lower fps. | |

| Well if it is a ported cylinder air is supposed to escape, so you should feel some air, but I do believe that Horton is right that there is a seal leak somewhere, no other reason why the fps would be so low, well besides a bad hop up rubber. | |

| took the hop up apart and its seems allright, just a little distorted where it gets pushed down from the hop adjuster, another scar l user found that has nozzle wasn't long enough to make a proper seal and was looking to fabricate a new one himself. wondering if thats the same problem with this one. | |
