| The project is almost finished (upper picture), just got to receive my new bipod... I've change my rings for my scope to lows instead of high (was quite hard to aim...). I will post pics of the complete project!
Thx for the compliments on my augs Hortons!

| Nice, I really like the AUG on top, although I believe I saw it on the chopping block on ASC . I was going to ask if you had made that rail on the other one, but I found a link to a few on UNCompany. Did you paint that yourself Sentienl? By the way nice AUG's! Horton, today we were out playing and my buddy lent me his AUG, and despite how I first felt about them, it was a pretty sweet gun... although I had a tendency to try to insert the mags in the front right underneath the trigger instead of under my armpit... | |

Yeah i've painted myself. See this thread on ASC http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=29976For the railed one, i've bought a kit on WGC. But this gun is sold by now. I've changed my mind for a new project for CQB and a winter gun, a FAMAS! Which more manoueuvrable and lighter. Lesser Total weight will be important on my snowshoes. The AUG with the rail has a poorly balanced heavy weight and less manoeuvrable than the Famas.

| I thought the FAMAS had a version 1? Wouldn't that be kind of sketch to use in the winter? And snowshoes! Man, Horton when are we going to be this hardcore?
Nice paint job, and good walkthrough on ASC

| I've got snow shoes I'm planning on using if we play in deep snow. They need some maintnace though and I don't realy know what I'm doing there. Snow shoes are great in deep snow if you have them I can walk in waste deep snow faster then most can run, and If I have to I can run in them. I use the old fasiond style cause the new small plastick ones are only good on packed trails.
Why am I talking about snowshoes on a Aug thread?

| That's pretty sick Horton, if you could find a 14mm + flashider that would be pretty sweet... by the way, by next spring I should have a little experience with upgrading... | |

| replaces outer barrel, need to cut aluminum sheath down to the plastic that surrounds the inner barrel search word AUG on ASC armoury, WGC or redwold should find this part. That's really it, this part has a pos thread so I had to find a pos flash hider (armalite birdcage from ILLusion) and then an M4 inner barrel. Fun Fun FUN! | |

| the take down bolt comes all the way out of the gun. I can't just push it back in because it comes out to easily and the reciever will fall off unexpectedly...not good. | |

| maybe that it's just the small metal part underneat the pin (you know the little piece of metal that is in the hole) that is fed up (or missing). Maybe you can try to re-bend it straight in position or replace it. Or verify that the litlle metal pin of the bottom side of this part is there and not too worn. It coulbe also a combination of those 2 things.
BTW, I have never seen someone with a complete HBAR mod in quebec province or ASC. It's seems that an old company (maybe closed) was making a kit a long time ago but it's discontinued. If you find one with the outer barrel, flash hider and bipod... it's a valuable collector item. Never heard about that someone has one in Canada, even in the States... That's a great mod, they should have it back.... sniff!

| Here's my cute baby AUG project http://www.atfquebec.com/album_pic.php?pic_id=218I've cutted down, grind, and repolish the inner barrel with a dremel to fit it. P.S. Look Hortons! It's the body you've sold to me! I've removed the beautiful sticker of the japan team (I've really hesitated to do so. But because I play sometimes in the snow and rain... it must go off). | |
