| Well since my gun isn't quite ready for pictures yet I figured I'd contribute to this thread with the evolution of Daes' M16. First time I heard about Daes was after Horton played with him and his 4000 rd box mag. And that's were things started... | |

| Ha ha ha, I didn't even see this thread Yeah, changed the gun around a little bit by adding a tri-rail and riser to bridge the two gun rails. The riser eliminated all vertical and horizontal flex creating the most ridgid armilite I have ever felt, no creeking or anything! Here is the pair of armilites. The one in the back is my speed gun with a swapped out M4 front end. -Doug | |

| Yeah, too poor to get a metal one, sorry to disappoint If you see any going to less than $200, give me a shout. The RAS, gun RIS, and riser make it really rigid though, a metal body will be pretty much for weight not much else. The Stoner body is metal tab and metal top reinforced, only the side walls and well are plastic (cough yeah, that is alot of plastic there). -Doug | |

| THEY STOLE MY IDEA!!!! THOSE BASTARDS!!!!! I should sue!!!!
Heh heh, now that is cool (Looks totally awesome and unique). I took your advice and grabed the metal body and some stuff (now I am going to starve). I am trying something similar with sinking the large silencer into the RAS. Problem is that my inner barrel is 650mm (M16 is normally ~510mm, PSG-1 is ~590mm) so it sticks out on my long silencer. Looks like either I chop, or swap out for my other tight-bore (510mm).
But still, that is a beautiful RIS/RAS system, a CQB system to drool over!

| How long does the silencer have to be before it usually starts chopping BBs? | |

| Don't cut down your inner Doug, sell it if anything.
Not sure what you mean sketchy? If the inner barrel or the silencer arn't on straight the BB's can hit the end of the silencer and start breaking them before them come out.

Yeah, had that problem when I made my own suppressors. In Airsoft, since AEG's get little or no effect from silencers, people use them to hide their inner barrels, in the pics above, my inner barrel is halfway down my suppressor, thus reducing any chance of BB's dropping and hitting it. Kind of annoying having to use a suppressor to hide your inner barrel but it gives you a reason to have one other than aesthetics. -Doug

| If you remove the stock and do a 9.6v rc battery mod to the supressor, you would have a front heavy but excellent CQB gun. Pop a nitro grip on, a laser, and a good reflex scope and you would be set. -Doug | |

| You get the flat stack 9.6v RC batterys (can cut them down or up to any voltage by adding or removing cells). You can get them as 1300mah NiMH or higher. They are roughly the size of AA batteries. I took two stacks and shaped them to fit in my stock. They are easy to cut apart and re-shape to suite your needs. -Doug | |

-Doug I had that problem when using my QD silencer with my C-15. BB's weren't breaking, but they were hitting it and the accuracy was screwed. When I put the silencer on my P90 I didn't notice a difference in the accuracy because I installed an M4 inner barrel which went over half way down the silencer.

| Same here, although my inner barrel goes about 1/4 of the way through, but even then bb's hit the inside | |
