That's it I'm a land owner !!
240 acres on the Salmon River, that's 1200m by 800m.
Part forest, part bushes, part old field.
Lots of old logging road and landings, streams, swamp.
no building
River acces
Approx 30-40 mn from town but 4x4 neccessary for the last kilometer.

IMO it's not as good as Buster but can be...

Perfect place for long games (24h), camping, swimming, fishing, BBQ...

I have to go there in spring with Norton (and any volonteer) so we can draw a map and plan what to do.

Airsoft game are welcome, I just have to check what's my responsabilitie as an owner.
Just before my place there's an old saw mill (all buildings are down) with some stuff to salvage (walls, culvert, tires, truck...) so maybe we can do something.

I did the hardest, buying the land ! Now time for your ideas !!

Congratulations Nic!!!!! That is quite the amazing piece of land you picked up there. The two photos look really beautiful, looks like a great place to go to and relax, vacation, 4 wheel on, airsoft on.

As a private land owner you are responsible for any injuries sustained on your land, ie airsoft games. Though that land looks like it would be the best thing that ever happened to NIA, as Dave, you, I, and others have discussed previously, Field insurance is essential.

On the flip-side, if member-only private games are held there or we get a proper legal liabilities write off form, then we may be set (a lawyer would only be $100 an hour, could get one for a few hundred).

Seriously, that is a really amazing piece of land you have. I think that you invested well. Hopefully this land will last you generations! (how is the bug kill on the land?)

Oh my goodness! We finally have a place to build Dougs Pallet houses! This is so exciting...no shortage of ideas here, just the time to write them all down! Consider this our spring playground Frag. We'll be in there before the snow all melts.

Thoughts-
insurance is around 1000-2000 a year
we play on unisured private landa all the time
waivers don't protect you from negligence
club members only would probably be all the protection you need
airsoft player typically aren't the sueing type

Yeah, we may not sue, but running large games with out of towners... maybe... but you are right, has anyone ever heard of anyone being sued in Airsoft?

Still, those pictures are so warm and nice looking. That really looks like a beautiful area. Especially if we have such a varience of terrain, from hills to river. I will grab a hill shaded here if I can get the UTM's.

This is awesome news! Finally we have an area we can call home, without the dangers of hunters/other people seeing us. It'll also let us build up the playing area with cover whenever we want.

I have never seen fight club but that has to be a quote. With no insurance or something set-up to protect Frag we would need to figure something out before inviting people to the field. What are your thoughts Nic?

Yeah, but that is the states... slight population difference. And no, yanks will not come up here to play and vise-versa due to importation laws...

In Canada, the biggest MilSims are lucky to break 100 people, and that is Ontario and Manitoba direction. Mind you, our Milsim player base is very dedicated and is willing to buy plane tickets even, but an established field must be present. Surf around ASC for more MilSim experience. We have it in Canada and it pwns, just not quite as much pwn'ing as in the US. (Shame that Keystone keeps getting flooded and what not)...

i like the way u think little lanerd. im up for helping. ill just have to get that 4x4 part solved or just get some ropes for the 2x4 that i got

well i do got the 4x4 thing down with winch and chains so i hope to come up and give a hand. I also work at a lumber mill up here and can get some ruff and reject lumber for free most of the time. I come into PG often so we will have to talk and see if there is a spot I could get to to deliver some lumber. I also get a discount on planned lumber by the lift so if we plan for it and can get the money up I can get it as well. Let me know when you plan anything and I will do my best to come and help.
