Walmart ACU

Well, the Terrace Walmart has some ACUPAT. Basically, it is non-ripstop, 100% synthetic, tissue paper. A complete and utter disappointment. Still, for $8 a meter, that is dirt cheap if you are looking to cover up something with ACU pattern. One thing I notice though is that it does not take on surrounding light as nearly as well as the ISSUE ACU.

I've found Wal-Mart has and/or can bring in almost any digital pattern, so far I've bought ripstop ACU and Marpat, they also have non-ripstop ACU Marpat. At Fabricland they can bring in Cadpat in light and heavy fabric. but Facricland is quite expensive, usually bouble wal-marts price. Fabricland also carries a fake foilage material that looks like 3d leaves, using Realtree camo it's sewn into a mesh like material, looked really cool. I got ambitous and made a ACU jacket(fleece lined) but will still have to buy a matching shirt from Brad.



Bought the pants from Brad's store and made the Coat (won't do a project like that again .... too much work!) But notice the color difference, the Wal-Mart material is much brighter.

Anyone at the august milsim will remember that I had brought some for general use and it was really heavy duty.

It's great to make custom coverings and pouches with, I've made assault vests with woodland camo in the past too.

I used it to tie around the grips and barrels of airsoft guns to give them some camo.

Nice to see someone else hitting the ol' sewing machine.

After the traumatizing experience of ACU at the MilSim, I am definately MC inclined right now. If ya see any MC at Fabricland or Wallymart, please please post or buy as much as you can and re-sell. Doesn't have to be Crye and heavy repo is just fine.

I believe you can just order it in at Wal-Mart, just make sure you ask for ripstop. I've seen alst every pattern go through Wally's worls except for Cadpat. As for the sewing machine, as much as I didn't really want to admit it, sometimes I just CAN"T find what i'm looking for. So I make it. Improvise, Adapt, Overcome.

This was my ambitious project of building a jacket.










I think I'll stick to custom pouches vests and backpacks from now on.

I did do a shoulder patch awhile ago too, of course too impatient to wait for the pro ones to come, which still haven't arrived.

I have seen CADPAT before in the Quesnel Wal-mart but that was ages ago before I got into airsoft.

well I guess we'll never know till we go to wal_Mart and ask I guess.

Walmart has an interesting camo in stock : like Cadpat but without black square...almost bought a sample but no one around to serve me so I gave up...walmart...

Ya saw that stuff too. little TOO green. If that's possible.

I asked and they can't order ACU CAD MAR or almost any camo. The only one they could order was a low quality woodland. Every thing else comes in there asorted section and they don't control what comes in with those sipments.

I was working on Van Isle this summer and hit several different Wal-marts and the were stock of almost all the aforementioned camo between the different stores, maybe we can get them to do a store transfer. maybe the Quesnel wallies has some too.

When I asked, they said that it was a rather random selection that they get everytime, each order is a random selection of assorted camo. If they don't have it one order, chances are they will get it the next, ie why PG had desert Marpat and Terrace had ACU tissue.
