| http://photobucket.com/albums/f257/PGairsoft/The pictures follow a walk me and Doug took today in the upstairs of the rollerdome. Most pictures have the window side to my right and the wall side to my left. We are good to play just waiting for a call that says how much it'll be and what night/time. Weapons limits and restrictions will be posted later (probably stock guns, semi only with a "a shot per second rule", springers will be welcomed more than AEGs so start saving for one of those UTG shottys from canadian airsoft. Some things will need to be set-up so we can play without fear of wrecking their stuff.(bedsheets over the pictures and cardboard on some windows) The 2 big rooms are really huge and obstacles could be set-up to make them more than simply a giant room to clear. Post your thoughts and concerns. We will start our first practice game in early FEB. | |

| In one of the pics...doug has some fancy pants. He probably grew out of those pants...that's why they're kinda short... ne ways...the place will have to do unless there's a better place lined up...if we have stock guns...can we use full-auto? it seems more realistic to use full auto..since we don't have 3 shot bursts | |

| for CQB the fps has to be limited to 320 fps maximum only due to the range on semi or full auto. | |

| Looks good for some hostage rescue type scenarios. Should be a good chance for me to try out my UTG MP5, I think it's around 250fps. I might have to pick up some green gas as well, because CO2 in my hicapa will shoot way too hard for CQB. Those cheap spring pistols I have should work pretty good for in there as well, so let me know if anyone needs a cheap spring pistol for CQB. | |

| If you're looking for something for anything besides CQB you should try Dave. The springers I've got I had to paint black, and don't have the fps of the ones Dave has for sale. When we were playing Black Rig Down Dave was killed, my M4 was empty and I was down to my sidearm (my cheap spring Sig Sauer) and I could see the .12g bb's curving at ranges beyond 25-30 ft. Next time I'm down I'll bring them and you can check them out if you're still interested. Right now I'm planning on using them as loaners/rentals to try to get some of my friends hooked. I have: 2 Sig Sauer P220's ~280fps with 0.12g bb's (each comes with 2 mags) 1 Beretta M92FS ~300 fps with 0.12 bb's (only 1 mag) I'm willing to part with them for replacement cost of $50 each, but you should check the stores in PG first as you may find them cheaper than I can get them up here (Chetwynd area). | |

| we have to use our own rules because it's such a specific place but springers will be king and there is a chance we may not be able to use AEGs. Definitly not on full auto. | |

| Springers clocks around 250 fps per shot i don't see a difference if you use a stock AEG with 250-260fps. Its not about the rules in Lower mainland at North Van Field is CQB field and Panther Field is larger field; both have different rules.
North Van field is super short field and they allow maximum of 320 fps or below. Of course suggestive to be lower is good but any lower than 260 fps is not that great either. For any upgraded gun should have muzzle velocity reducer with certain ring around it to reduce the fps at 320fps or below.
What I don't suggest is playing in the dark lol If that happens it would be semi-auto only.
Full auto should be premitted with certain fps and minimum engagment to person to person WE SHOULD ALL HAVE COMMON SENSE about this. I say anyone with 2 metre engagment should at least say freeze or something and if the person refuse it their problem. I mean this CQB and CQB is ment to be play at your own risk.

| I have never seen a stock TM shoot less than 270 average. As Yuu said, the issue here is not what other fields have but what we are dealing with in this situation. Much like Mike is facing in Sask, we are at the whim of the owner and what restrictions are placed by said owner (Ha ha ha, Mike, stuck with Crappytire limitations!!! Lame!!!). As it stands right now, the owner has not seen the extent of the damage our weapons are capable of.
I would like to play this CQB areana at 450+ fps, full auto, real mag size. If you wear a mask and proper armor/gear, you are fine. Yuu is correct, if you have COMMON SENSE, then any game situation is possible and can be played safely. Unfortunately the facility has 2 limitations:
1. Dry wall and furnished surroundings. There are alot of things that will get chewed up there. We can eliminate most of that by putting up cloth along the walls to cover windows, pictures, etc. We can also limit damage by not aiming high and shooting the light fixtures. Still, more powerfull guns will have more powerfull ricocete and punch though the punching bags and other objects we will be using to create walls.
2. MESS. If we play on full auto, we clean up on full auto. This facility is also used by a boxing club and Extreme fighting club. Do you want them angry at us for leaving a mess? If we can limit our ammo useage that will mean that we have less mess to clean and less chance that something will go wrong.
Though it would be nice to try out my new M16CQB monster, I think that this facility should be a handgun training facility. Of course, does everyone else have a handgun? I guess further communication with the owner shall let us know what limitations are in place.
I personally would like to see games at old lumber mills, they are the perfect mixture of CQB (offices) to limited range fighting (equipment) to full range fighting on the conveyers. Once you have fought at a lumber mill, you will understand why they rock so much.

-Doug- Well, since you put it that way interm of keeping the condition of the building I would say semi-auto is great idea but even with 250 fps can dent a clay wall. Less hole the better I guess. We have airsoft gun not real steel so the accuracy of any type weapons will at least have 50% hitting a wall or some sort of object in the way. So how much of equipment need to be remove is another matter to worry about. I mean spring shotty are deadly enough with 3 bbs speard out almost anywhere it points too causing potential object to be dent or what nots. However, punching bags are different story. I don't mind pistol but I don't think my SOCOM isn't going to be happy about not denting thing accidentally. LOL But if we have boxes pilled up randomly it would be fine to stop any problems with bb endangering the boxing equipment, the only danger would be how close can your gun to someone face. This is such a difficult task. Saw mill or on the Ferry for CQB just rule anyday!

| we won't know until we get there. Most of the springer shottys guys have in town are single shot because the TM one I had broke and everyones scared to buy one now. But I argee, we'll have to bring everyones guns to the game and see how much damage they do. Dougs 375fps wan't doing much more damage then my 280fps so restrictions will be more ammo and and rate of fire. When did you get so many guns Chinesse? | |
