I was going to abuse my admin privs here and knock that comment off but I figure it couldn't hurt to do some airsoft pricing explaining. IE, an TM M16A2 from 007 is $520 new. With the bonus bushings, shims, battery, aftermarket speed engine, that is a bonus $200. So a $720 gun for $450 is a good deal. That is why many of the players buy used on ASC over buying new. I really hate to say it, airsoft is more expensive than real steel to get the gun. Mind you, the ammo, yeah, that is your cost savings, that and you can shoot people safely with it. Paintball, expect to pay around the same costs for anything of a real marker, from $300 cheapy (or JG for airsoft) to $2000+ markers (or PTW for airsoft). That and availability is a real kicker right now for Airsoft, with only 2 stores really running (barely) and huge back logs for special orders. Used ASC is the way to go, talk to Horton_Heroes about getting age verified to access the ASC used classifieds. -Doug

| At the moment though expect over a months wait for your verification to be accept on ASC, right now there are major problems going on and no one is being verified.
I meant to ask is your SR-16 body a metal one and if so are you interested in selling it by itself?

| I'm sorry. I honestly didn't mean it as insulting. I just have some real toys that weren't that $$$. I see a USED gun will be in my future if I decide to play. | |

| Ha ha ha, no worries Knightwarrier, I figured it was a great time to introduce the dreaded prices of our tools/toys now-a-days Drache, sorry, TM bodies, mind you the Sr-16 does have more metal content then the normal M16-A2 one but still... nothing beats the full metal. -Doug | |

| so I heard something bout our elected officals trying to ban airsoft and gun look-alikes. Has there ever been anything come of it? Or am I looking at something that will be banned so there's no support or to buy parts? | |

| no worries so far, and if anything does come along, a precedent has already been set in British Courts. So yeah, there are a few people working on it, blah blah blah, usually these threads get locked with these discussions. Best thing to do is look up on ASC the current endless debate and discussion and formulate your own opinion.
Myself, I just want easier retail access.

| Guess it also help that Dave went to all the work of asking the RCMP what guidelines to follow for airsoft games... Don't know if we had already told him that he did a good job, but good job there Horton | |
