| At the Dollar store on the Hart there is a knockoff softair pistol, they r selling it for $100. It uses a co2 cartridge, wondering if anyone else has checked it out? Is it a deal or a dog? Looking for a professional opinion. | |

| Crappy Tire has the same thing. They are not bad... it is CO2, buuuuut, it is clearsoft.... Correct me if I am wrong but Smith had(s) one that was not too bad, worked decently as a backup sidearm. He did a good job painting it too. Still, for only a $100 or 2 more you can get some a really nice full metal WE Hi-cappa so yeah... If a budget is important right now, go for it, but in the end, after handling the good stuff, you will regret it (as I am always gun after gun ) -Doug | |

| If you want a cheap backup that will work in the winter, CO2 is the way to go. A coat or two of Krylon and they look pretty good, they have way more power than a springer and you don't have to cock it for every shot. The only major drawbacks are that they generally don't have blowback and they are cheaper construction than more expensive GBB's. For $100 you could do a lot worse if you just want an inexpensive backup that will work in the winter. I recently picked up another clearsoft Sig which I really like. I believe it was made by KWC and imported by cyberguns or something. I'll have to take another look at it and I'll post a couple pics.
I forgot to mention that because the cheap clearsoft guns tend to be non-blowback you can get up to 100 shots on a single CO2 cartridge and they generally shoot well over 300fps with 0.2's. Unfortunately they also usually have a fixed hopup which can affect accuracy if you are using bb's of different weight than recommended. | |

| I've tried to look at that, but they've not wanted to show it with kids in the store. I will try another look this weekend. Notice that they have bottles of green gas for $19? | |

| Ive personally used and been in a firefight using and against $100 CO2 sidearms and I like them. The one I used was 400fps and even though it was clear and then painted. CO2 is so much easier to use than gas and is allot more even in FPS no matter the weather. | |

| Well I just bought a brand new TM P226, unopened for $260 shipped which should arrive within 4 days. I also ordered a propane adapter for it as well. I've heard many good things about the TM 226 and I'm dying to try it out! | |

| The one I got last year I picked up from SSP21 in Kamloops. The mag release feels kind of flimsy and the mags look pretty cheap. The new one is a Swiss Arms Sig Sauer SP2022 / KWC USP. Here's a link to the info for the black version. Mine is the same, but was clear with black grips. http://www.actionhobbys.co.uk/contentitempage~ContentID~266522.aspx | |
