| Well, I redesigned my gun again to something less sniper to more of a mid-ranged field-gun. The structure of this gun is way too insanely solid now, between the metal body, RAS, floating barrel, and riser supports, the gun weighs a ton and is solid as rock. Got to re-paint the body and I am good to go (cept I need to fix my air-nozzle). -Doug | |

| When your gun fires, the nozzle mores back and for so you only ever fire one BB at a time. Right now the nozzle has been warped and is not moving back and forth properly. Got to replace or reshape the nozzle. Moves in and out of the mechbox fine but when it feeds into the hop-up chamber it is getting jammed, hopefully... Don't want to crack my mechbox...

| The hole where the nozzle moves in and out of the mech box is quite large and it shouldn't jam on the box itself. Maybe on the cylinder head but that would also be bad. If it jams on anything the tappet plate would also get some extra strain from having the sector gear pull it back and if it didn't move. | |

| You might be right about the tappet plate, the new body has it pretty tight right now... I am really hoping it is not the cylinder head, that would be a mess... I will take apart the gun again and check the tappet plate, dry fire(ugh) and see if I am catching internally. If so, I got some filing to do...

| Bah, I already ordered in from ASCA and got a new nozzle and tappet. Thank though guys! Yeah, G&P would be fine.
There is nothing TM stock on that gun anymore... Mechbox is scratch built (Redwolf), outer barrel has been chopped and modded beyond recognition, inner barrel tightbore, stock is fibreglassed, body furniture is either G&P or steel replacement, super-torque motor and new wiring, grip is fibre replacement (broke 3 TM grips on this gun, they are crap), I don't even have any TM mags anymore...
And after all of this, I would still recommend getting TM as your first gun. Reliable, sturdy'ish, good value for your $$$. I would just never recommend getting a TM for upgrading. Get a G&P, G&G, CA for your armilites. You can get a gun that comes with full metal everything, including better internals, for 1/4 the cost of upgrading a TM to the same standards...

| Bah, got my polycarb tappet and nozzle in but the nozzle is normal flow, not high flow, doesn't fit on the end of my cylinder head. I always wondered the diff between the stock TM nozzle and the Highflow nozzle, now I do...

| thanks for the clarification with the nozzle.
Let me get this straight...your tappet plate is a tight fit and was no longer moving as freely as it needed to so the catch on the piston gear snapped your tappet plate? | |

| Nah, I mixed the wording up, my selector plate was tight, thought that maybe it broke the tappet. But... remember I had some bad feeding issues earlier in November, and I stopped using the gun... Yeah, that what was the problem... I think that the nozzle got jammed in my one-piece hop-up chamber and, thus snapping the tappet. The Sr-16 body didn't hold the hopup right so it sat crooked and didn't allow the nozzle to travel smoothly. The G&P body has some nice grooves for the metal hop-up so it goes in snug. The new polycarbonate tappet feels waaaay stronger so I doubt I will have an issue, else I can always grad a 3rd gear cam. http://www.icsbb.com/news/e_news_main.asp?id=90-Doug | |
