Open House

We are set to go November 16 and 17 for the open house. Hours will be 10:00-20:00 friday and 10:00-17:00 saturday. Tables are looking kind of barren at this point, being that only 5 members (all from NIA-Q, which is now to be known as the Fraser River Corsairs) have stepped forward with the willingness to help out. Posters are up around town, pamphlets are at the ready, even the video is almost complete. We understand there is a game saturday, but if anybody has time and/or gear (gear especially over guns) any help would be greatly appreciated. Any loaned gear will be promptly returned.

il come down for friday, i can pack two more people and all their gear and guns, i gotta go down there anyways so i wont charge gas money..., *cough* *cough* *horton* *cough* *bill* *cough* *cough, how do we get the guns and gear in the mall without being arested?

Well this will be good since my M16 is crapped out once again...

mainly gun cases and if need be wrap them in a blanket although our table will be close to the back door. Let us know when you'll be down and we can meet you there and show you where we are at.

well the city tore down all our posters even though they all followed the rules about the poster boards so John and I went around last night until 9:30 putting them back up.

Was the poster offensive to soccer moms? This may not be the best of signs that things will go smoothly if the city is removing posters. Is this open house somewhere public or private, and have the police been notified of its happening (so someone doesn't phone in reporting a para-military meeting). We always phone in our games to the police to prevent anything said events from happening. Hopefully nothing goes haywire,

Zach if you get a chance to read this I won't be able to make it. I am going to play some Wii with my youth group (priority).

I am willing to send my guns that way though...as long as they come back for saturday.

speaking of wii, i had an amazing idea of turning a ruind airsoft gun into a controller for shooting games hahaha

Alright, if possible we need to know how many guns we are looking at having at the show, so we can get an extra table if need be. Quesnel has 5 non-sidearms as stands. Finding room for sidearms isnt going to be a problem, however, we do have to lock the guns down to the table (the olny stipulation from the mall aside from not firing the guns). We will be doing so by running chain around the table and zap-strapping the guns to the chain so as not to scratch the guns.

well day one was a success and had lots of people stop at the table and asked tonnes of questions. We passed out 15 "pamphlets" to people really interested so we're hoping to see how that goes and hope tomorrow is the same.

We did get news of a guy who's friend owns a Beretta and MP5 airsoft guns.

Great to hear! Hopefully this leads to a large turnout. Next MilSim breaking 40 people? We can always hope

dave, since zach couldnt come down I'll need you to PM me a phone number along with your full name so I can ship the M16 up to you when I get paid sometime around the 23rd of this month.

Well, we had a few come through that were very interested in coming out, so we shall see what happens with them.

All in all, we got a very good turn out. As for the next MilSim hitting over 40, we will just have to see.

We shall be putting up pics tomorrow before Drache goes to work, if we get the time.
