| Looks like we have a game shaping up here this Sunday between some of the locals and our friends visiting this weekend. Any out of towner thinking of coming please call first. 250-397-2369 Probaly start around 10. Play till food is ready. Here is a site map showing game area. http://heimdallson.com/mike/Hilltop%20Map%20Trails%202.pdfField size is around 7 acres of heavy tree cover: http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=5913+hilltop+rd,+100+mile+house,+bc&sll=49.50916,-119.584808&sspn=0.401272,0.883026&gl=ca&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=51.700412,-121.216793&spn=0.011969,0.027595&z=15&iwloc=AScenairo One: Learning to love the Bomb Two teams, infinite respawns. objective - capture bomb and move to enemy base, e. base go boom. game over LIke CTF but bomb gets pushed to enemy base. Re-spawn points in far corners of field...behind each base. I have a white large ammo box, that I can make heavy. I would give the smaller team uphill on the CTB Medic rules? Maybe each player can carry one bandage. Resupply at base. Bandage must be attached around arm and knotted. Bandaged players are dead next time shot and can only respawn. No healing yourself. Use buddy system. Ammo unlimited but reload only at base. Scenario Two: Red vs Blue. This one is intended as a mixer. Two teams. Red and Blue. Same bases. Shooting a player kills them. They then go to ENEMY Base and re-spawn as opposing color. Game over when one side eliminated. Any other scenarios we wanna think about? Or rules? | |

| That was a lot of fun. Thank you to everyone in coming and trying out this field in a big way for the first time...having just woken up from the post game power nap, I just wanted to post a brief note for now. I will get a full after action report inna bit. We DID have a video-photograper for the first part of the game, so should have some cool shots as well to share.
Good game everyone! | |

| Video of Team AKA Cam, Daniel, Freydis, Catylin, John, and Mike are Playing on 'Red Team' during the Capture the Bomb game. Our embedded photographer stayed pretty close to us, so we could use this for training. Even took a bullet for the team to bring us this excellent video. Brief video at the start of our Noble Opposition. Great game everyone! http://heimdallson.com/mike/webAirsoftht2009.wmv | |

| Haha looks like fun. If you painted the ammo box neon pink it might have stood out a LITTLE better! LOL Jk | |

| Pink eh? interesting idea. We had painted that ammo box a Tremclad High Gloss White...no one tried to hide it (good idea) but mostly just moved it back and forth....but now that you mention it...hmmmm... | |

| Favorite part of this game was getting my first ever pistol kill.
Hearing gunfire near our base, I detoured back thru brush in a straight line thru brush. Suka I stashed to be able to move faster. When I got near the contact, I came under fire immediately( they probably heard me crashing thru the underbrush). I hit the ground fully prone head first towards the enemy, behind a pretty punky stump. I returned some fire, and received heavy fire in response. Occasionally I would roll slightly to the left or right from behind the stop and engage, but always forced back by returning volume of fire.
What was sorta freaky was watching my only hard cover, this orange punky stump (you see me behind it in the movie for a couple a seconds) slowly deteriorate under bb fire....It was a really cool effect. In fact you could start to count the seconds that this 'hard cover' would last as it slowly blew apart at the edges literally in front of my eyes.
Thanks to Jack for giving me my first pistol kill during this encounter. One of my rolls to the right tagged him, he called the hit right off, and no longer was I pinned down...the vid I think just shows me getting up...
Just thought I would share this, what seemed like a unique moment of airsoft.
Great game everyone! | |

| Ha ha. That reminds me of the last match we had at Jacks top field. He had me and dave pinned down at the crest of a hill. Same thing tho, i was hiding behind this rotten old stump, watching fly apart under prolonged fire. Too funny! Damned high cap mags anyway *shakes fist* | |

| Really? Right on.
Say just out of curiousity, how long did it take to make that? I gotta say the effect is 'a varry nace'
I didn't catch that was its debut. Based on your couple of uses of it, do you think its complete or you still have things to do to it? | |

| that outting let me find and iron out all the crinkles. the main one being, the bug netting under the cowl, which was a last minute addition. when in direct sun, the bugnetting pretty much blinded me, and ken was saying that it was a neon green from his point of view. darkened the bug mesh with black marker, and cut a strip out of it to fit tight over the goggles. Also, as its tucked inside the bugnetting, i'll probably remove the lower have of the mask entirely, which will enhance breathablility, and make it more practical for use with or without the ghillie suit. Other than that issue, I'm not sure that i will be making any major changes. It seemed to perform more than adequately, and now that the visibility thing is no longer an issue, I'm really looking forward to the next outting. | |
