11 players each carrying 6 liters of water in their clothing by the end of the day.

Great weather to start with serious downpour by the end. Great to have out some new folks and to see everyone after this summer.

Love some feedback on the roped off area. I am going to go back and square it up a bit for sure but this now gives us an area that we can put some time into if we are interested.

Games were a little lopsided with the non multicam folks getting more kills but forgetting about the objectives. Team multicam was held at their base most of the time but when they could sneak someone out they just ripped through our respawns. I had a great time either way.

Had a lot of fun myself. Just wish I didn't have an equipment malfunction with the fogging goggles. Shoulda brought my mesh ones, so that was bad on me. Overall loved the playing area, was nice and open and made moving quickly through it easy. Lots of great hiding spots!

after filming all I did I saw some great spots, the area closer to the road is a lot less dense than the back side. I personally think there needs to be an entrance path made or something, that hill when wet was extremely slick and very steep, I know I had a couple close calls myself and its a minor concern.

I kinda like the location overall, got some great spots to hide, but also some nice open area. Sadly not open enough for good sniping too often, as it seemed players avoided those areas anyway.

I like playing camera man though, much easier on my back!

Was fun despite the rain. Look forward to something similar again...without the rain.

Videos were hit and miss, no fault of our cameraman really. The lens kept getting hit with water droplets, and eventually fogged up. When i get some time all edit them all together in one video and upload it. There was some good parts in there if you're patient for them.

I'll be sure to bring it out to future games.

uber simple game.

each team has a main base that is attached to the back of the area. They go out and put up two other spawn points with flagging tape. Goal is to push the other team back into their satellite spawns then take the spawn. What is really turned into was a giant kill fest with one guys from the multicam team got past us and just tore down our satellite spawns.

id say it went well (he says while his aug dries out in pieces) lol rain made things interesting. the roped off area was a good idea i would say perhaps we could build some bunkers out of log in there and clear some of the bush a bit to open it up a little. other than that was great

I had a great time out there. Wish I didn't have my goggles mess up and my rifle shooting a bit off. Still great to meet everyone. I'll certainly be trying to make it to more NIA games when I have days off to come out.

The playing area was pretty nice though, got some interesting elevations and levels of brush density. definitely worth looking into improving some more.

I'm curious to see the video when that goes up.

I might be up for a little building day out there before the snow flies.

Acorn do you own a club patch? If so I need a reminder to change your player tag on here.

Could we even get a quad in there? Let's set-up a morning some weekend so we can do some work. Even a team of shovels would get lots down in some of the flatter areas.

Having some issues rendering the vid. It'll work fine if i do a few clips together, but when i do them all at once it spits out a broken file after an hr.

Anyone have any experience with Vegas 8 and file sizes or video length...is their a limit?

I dunno about Vegas 8 sadly, but I have a lot of training in Final Cut Pro and Adobe premier pro, if you want to try another program, that is.

It's weird, it renders it the full time it would take, but the file seems capped at 3.97gb when i'm pretty sure it's more.

I test rendered a few at a time and it works just fine. I'm gonna do some reading.

Question, do either of those programs utilize CUDA from Nvidia? That'd just destroy rendering time for me Smile

CUDA hey? I'm not sure actually...
*researches*

looks like that's a yes, but only in the H264 (.mp4 file extension) codec (standard for HD movies)

epic, wait which one, final cut or adobe premier? h.264 and mp4 i like Smile

I might have to look into that if changing the codec from mainconcept to sony avc doesn't work. being able to render a movie in 5min instead of 2hrs would be awesome too.

premiere pro, costs $800 and in my opinion, some of the best video editing I've used, since pretty much everything else is based off it (final cut pro is literally a full on ripoff, but sells for hundreds of $$, but its mac only)

you should drop by sometime! I'll show you how it works.

I should drop by, that'd be fun. I'm off starting Thursday this week and go back to work Monday. Sunday is booked, so that leaves Thursday, Friday before airsoft game, and Saturday.

Damn, still a bust. I wonder why it's not working. I changed the temp file to be on my main drive so it's not a size limitation there. I've tried a few different settings... It only seems to work when i do shortish clips. I did a nice 10min long biking video just fine on it too. Saved my Render presets even just in case, and i'm using the same cam. Maybe 35min is making it bug out. Either way i'm gonna check out the trial of premier pro cs5.

First time through the quality kinda stunk, so i'm re-rendering with a higher bit rate. I'm also thinking i might fiddle around to try get a smallish lower quality version for those that don't want to download a 2gb file. Keep in mind i cannot upload to youtube since it's about 35min long.
