| The spinner is horribly out of date now and there appears to be no one around who can do anything about it. If no one steps up to fix it I am going to remove it. Thoughts on that and what to replace it with?

| No luck with the file so far. Do you have interest in starting from scratch, doesn't have to be anything wonderful. I am itching to change it or just take it down. | |

| hmmm I'm not sure. I just got a job, I start monday and I'm in school too, so free time is looking slim, however it wouldn't be hard to make a little slide show of members with Javascript thats super easy to edit | |

| Sounds better than what we have. Might be better to to have pics and no names etc so we don't have it go out of date super fast. | |

| I am thinking of getting rid of the posters like the CQC one from last year on the portal page. It has a news section anyway that keeps the most active threads at the top so a generic poster there would probably be the best. Just using the spot where the spinner was to keep people updated seems like a better spot as everyone has to look at the forum index page. | |

| Hey that was quick! Thanks man...Heres another one. Maybe we should do some Area Banners...100 Mile could maybe mention our games every weekend during summer...you guys can mention CQC stuff...that sort of thing. promote the areas, as well as specific games. Quesnel Airsoft...'our beer tastes better' (I am just spitballing here )

| as an admin you have the exact same powers as I do. I'll PM you with what I am doing and I am sure you will be able to do more good in there than me.
Can you make a gif? Then we can take a banner or two from each club and have it just flip through.

| We should lay down some guidelines for posting banners to keep it clean up there interms of space and look.
I like the size and my browser makes it look like it could be even wider. If they are wider is that enough room that each group (100 MILE, quesnel, PG, Chetweosjdsfwer) could each have a spot and fit things side by side if they have two banners to put up?
Either way I am going to bed, have fun in the admin pannel.

| Will do...I am thinking that what would be best is to just show one banner (randomly) at a time, so the front page doesn't get taken over with banner stuff.
I will see if there is some 3rd party html tools to do this. A animated gif could work for a couple but adding on to it would be a pain.

| http://www.mediacollege.com/internet/javascript/image/random.htmlHere is one method. It does remind me that it would be nice to have the banners stored on THIS server for management purposes and some control over what suddenly appears... Can we use a gallery for banners to centralize their storage? I can't seem to find a gallery 'upload' function. Any javascript programmers wanna give this a shot?

| Looks like the maximum width for the banner is around 804 pixels. That brought the height (proportionally) 100 px. So 800 x 100 (or narrower) would be a good guideline.

| I put up the CQC one just for size testing. MS paint (you can make fun of me later) says it's 800 by 100. | |
