August 27th Game

Day:Aug 27th, 2011
Place-Paintball field off of Tyner Rd. [can't get the google map link to work, but it's really easy to find. if there are any questions though just send me a message.]
Duration:11am-5pm
Price:None currently
-Pack a lunch and water (especially water it's gonna probably be pretty hot.)
-Bring a mask(optional if over 16, but still must have at least some manner of protective goggles}
-Bring your own ammunition
-Contact DylanSankey if you would like to help or run any part of the day
-Players need to be over 18 or 16 with parental consent.
-Armor rules will be in effect for all games.
-Read club rules before arriving.

Should likely be 5-6 already coming so, should have lots of opportunity to play some team games.

Final note on Play area. [There will be limited/tight parking so if possible try and carpool up with someone. Also all guns MUST be kept in cases or boxes until in the prep area.]

Yeah that's pretty close too it, The entrance is the turn a little up the road from the spot you marked. The play area is pretty much right in from there.

is there a chance of BB's going onto the road from the play area? i REALLY don't want to have someone phone the cops on an NIA game, gives us a bad mark and all

I played a couple seasons of paintball in there, without any police intervention. Just gotta be inconspicuous

Is this an actual paintball park or a place people run into the woods to play paintball?

Dave and I are thinking about driving up for this game. I would appreciate hearing from others planning to attend.

I have only a couple weekends free before I am gone to basic training till December so would like to spend one of those with our airsoft buddies in PG.

Dave has a new Real Sword 97B he will be breaking in. I have a box of bbs I can bring.

When I played there it was just a trail into the bush with a staging area protected by a plywood wall. Although the plywood may well be long gone. I think I'll have a look after work.

Ok. I'll probably make an appearance. I work til 12pm that time. Lucuis will most likely join as well.

Sounds like I am bringing 4 of us up to the game. I also have MayDay Game patches to deliver.

Just an idea. Perhaps the organizer should phone the RCMP to let them know we're playing in that area. Just to be on the safe side.

Well sounds like this is going to have quite the large turn out.

but I'll quickly address some of the questions that have been asked

I will be phoning the RCMP dispatch before the game so they know whats going on [did last time we went out and we had no problems]

the staging area is still present and we'll be setting up in there.

The field has boundry strings marking it out, and there are several forts/bunkers/cover set up. The play area is also far enough in, and the bush near he road is thick enough that if any BB's go into the road it will be because someone is intentionally trying to shoot over onto it.

I hope that helps clear things up a bit.

New to the site and new to the game, but I have rented an AK and gear from David Horton. Chris Long and I will be showing up. Hopefully I can find the place! If anyone needs a ride, I have a 7 passenger van with lots of room for gear.
