| I am digging up an old project I had in mind. After stumbling across the Geneth G2000 Sniper Rifle a while back, I thought wow, that is an interesting looking gun, but how to make it... Well, the KJW M700 offers great fps and system and there are 2 for sale on ASC right now (except some weird guy name beach bob or something has pm'd them already). I have two questions: First, does anyone know the internal structure of the M700. It the stock empty or used? Secondly, does this look like enough of a space gun to everyone? Here are the pis: [img:62c1] http://www.airsoftclan.com/images/Geneth-G2000[1].jpg[/img:62c1]-Doug | |

| A lot of work. Looks like I will have to book some time to go back to Terrace to work on this. Unfortunately, even then, I still don't have access to a proper metal lathe. I guess I could use a wood lathe and some arm work and new bits. Truthfully, I highly doubt I would be able to make anything close to this but it would be neat to try and convert an M700 into a bullpup Maybe that is what we could use club money for, having a shop day at CNC. Let everyone try to do some of their projects using professional tools. Hmmmm... -Doug | |

| il bet if you used the internals from an AUG you could pull it off, the wood wrking would be hard, other than modifying the AUG bodd most of the pieces are simple shapes. i dough we could pay cnc to let us use their machine shop. im gona be investing in a 3 in 1 (lathe, milling machine, drill press) around winter time would be very very handy, and save money on buying expensive mods, and give a custom space gun tounch to almost anything, or you could buy a real one and convert it... | |

| Yeah, you are right Spork. An aug would be much easier! It is just a shame cause the G2000 is semi-automatic... Here is a gun comparision for matching: -Doug | |

| I am selling my Aug off for really cheap. Just the gun should be less than $200.
Civilian model would work better

| did dave get an aug yet? maby he will let you inbestigate it and see ifits possible to change the distanve between the mag and hand grip (the one wth the trigger, im tiered right now and cant recal the name) that would make it a little more realistic since the mag wouldnt be as far back, the rest is cosmetic | |

| Yeah, sorry Horton, grabed the first side profile pic I could find, the icky military model.
Yeah, the AUG, FAMAS, or L82 would all provide a working bullpup format. I am looking for an all electric trigger so that I can situate it anywhere on the gun. And yeah, the rest is cosmetic.
Of course, M700 = adjustable FPS. WooooOOO 900FPS!!!!!! (according to one ASC account).

| Yeah, 900 fps with a .2g puts it over 5.7 joules and thus a firearm I do believe... I think that, one a whim, I will grab Horton's AUG off of him and give this project a go. I just wish it had realistic FPS for what I have envisioned Mmmm, 1200fps with 0.8g aluminum BB's... -Doug | |

| awsome, it should be fairly easy then, as far as building a gun goes, just use all the internals from an aug, l82 or what ever, that way you will have less to custom build, the gear bof and battery should fit into the stock of the G2000 quite nicelly. and as long as the gun your guna use to buld it has a semi mode you can set it up so it will only fire on semi, if youwant, a full auto sniper rifle would be kinda cool | |

| Yeah, using the AUG for this project does seem more plausible now. There is plenty of room to fool around with. My only problem is that the motor on the AUG makes it rather tall and thus, hard to fit in the the current G2000 box size. Might have to rework the shape of the back a wee bit.

| make it a little more space gunny, could do somethign like the sniper stocks for the m4/m16's, they look awsome http://www.hammermods.com/vmatch-sniper.htm if you modified it you could make something similare but till look like a G2000 stock you could enlarge the bottom of it and only some one whos seen them alot would be able to tell its bigger than normal, kinda the same idea it has now only not such a small thumb hole, but then you would have to figure out a way to get the mags out, or just re-work the area needed with out changeing the thumb hole. if you wanted to go crazy you could cut the drive shaft on the motor down a bit, modify the bottom of the gear box (aluminum welder required) and make the gear box shorter... | |

| From what I have heard in ASC, those stocks are very cheaply made. I think I will stick to the woodworking. What is interesting, most gearboxes are made out of steal or pot metal, not aluminum, so a regular welder can be used. Of course, that would be completely insane to do. On slip up and it is worthless. Mind you, one fellow on ASC made a split mechbox, cutting his regular box in half to his armilite would have a "realistic" take down. This wasn't it, but looks like someone released something like it! http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?itm=PW-7GB-VER2-L_srch_1-Doug | |
