Rod and Gun Day (UPDATE)

Found some more information on the Rod and Gun Club day:


Heritage Day (June 25/06) (that is a Sunday)
-10am to 4 pm
-Volunteers and help needed
-Need ammo to be donated

I would be interested in setting up a booth for the day and I will try to make the nessessary arrangements if I can get some people to show up and help. I will bring 3 guns, using mainly the M16A2 for public use and the SR16 and G36 for special interest people. I think it would be nice to have some gas guns that day too, if possible. It also would be nice to have people in full gear to show the variety of BDU available.

I will also, electricity dependent, bring a laptop and set up a slide show to show our club games and maybe some world MilSim videos.

I'm already there for the Prince George Trappers. I'll be maning a both with Bernie Mckay. I also plan on doing a lot of shooting (Real Guns). Do you want anyone to bring other guns for display, not shooting.

Gryph, a Spetsnaz would make a great display item. What are your feelings of people handling but not firing your weapon? If we can get a collection of display weapons and firing weapons, it will look quite nice.

my M4 is available, if you wana pop the rear reciver pin out and open it, its got a 2 piece mech box so it will just fold open, would make a great display of what the internals look like

I have no problem with it being on display. I'm ok with it being handled as long as one of the experienced members is with the person one on one. I don't want people trying to get at the batterie or playing with parts on it ect. Like I said I'm OK with someone handling it to see what it feels like and sighting down it as long as it's one on one with an experienced member of the club. I'm not to keen on kids handling it, and there is going to be kids there.

Heh heh, thanks Spork. All I need is two more people who can go. This means that if one of us gets sick, then we are still able to host the table. That and it would be nice to have one person watching the table at ALL times if the other person gets busy.

I just finished talking to Larry, nice fellow. Anyways, I have to clear this with the vice-president of the PG Rod and Gun club so that there will be no issues. Larry forsee's no issues so I will let everyone know here in a bit.

There will be power outlets so I wil bring my work bench and a laptop to display photos and videos. If allowed, airsoft guns will be displayed, if not, we can sit there in full BDU and answer questions and show the laptop stuff.

As of right now, Myself and GM-Gunner will be at the table. It would be great to have one more person show.
