i cant help it, i am in love with .45 cal. style pistols. my most recent addition to my weapons cache is the TM SOCOM, its not gas blow back, and its not ful metal, but DAMN! it packs a punch, stock it shoots 330 fps with green gas, i have yeat to chrono it on propane and CO2 but i will and il let you all know how it goes.
to start this review im gona list some fun things about the gun,
PROS:
1)FIRST! its super quiet with the silencer, and by super quiet i mean if your 10 feet away and some one is shooting at you and has good camo you wont know why your getting all these sharp pains every were.
2)its none blow back, this means the slide doesnt move when it shoots, the advantage to this is that no gas and engergy is wasted buy reloading, this is how the gun gets its high FPS and zero cycle time.
3) TAC LIGHT! it comes with an LED light that makes it look increadable awsome, and works very well in dark or dim CQB situations. the switch is also very accesably and can act as a preasure switch or always on depending on what way you flip it, and it sits right below the trigger gaurd so you dont need to use your other hand to turn it on of off.
4) extreamly efficient, ive refiled the mag with BBs twice with out haveing to recharge it with gas and hardly noticed a drop in its effective range (this was done with a full can of green gas).
5) i said it in number two but i gotta say it again, the cycle time is pritty much non-existant due to the fact that the slide doesnt move, you can litterally go as fast as you can pull the trigger.
CONS:
1) its plastic, not a big issue cause it still has an awsome feal to it
2) the slide doesnt move, i know i metioned it in the pros but i also feal its a con because it takes away from the realism slightly, but its a good sacrafice for power and eficiency
3) the fake laser (red LED) in the tac light looks rediculous, im working on a way to put a real laser in place of it so il let you all know how that goes
4) BIG! its awsome if like big scary pistols but its just about to the point of stupidity, with the silencer on its almost 2 feet long! and the tac light keeps it from fitting into almost every holster ive seen
5) the tac light doesnt project very far, which is why i recomend it only for CQB.
i paid $300 for mine, not as inexpensive as some pistols, but for the high FPS, flexability, economy and over all scarry as DOOM look it was worth it
