| I finally received my Systema M4 MAX today, and had a chance to add some extras. I took some pics, but my feeble mastery of the computer means I have no idea what to do with them.
I could e-mail them to one of you guys if you could upload them for me. Then you'll see what $6000 gets you.
BTW, there are 2 PTWs in the pics.

| What I didn't show was the $250 I had to spend for a charger to properly charge and cycle 12v batteries. I figure the M4 cost me about $4000 and that was getting a smoking deal on it. By our trained thinking on purchasing, it should have cost me $2900 for the gun ($1450 U.S at Redwolf) and another $2500 in accessories at least.
I can tell you the performance is absolutely unbelievable. With the M150 kit, it shoots easily over 500 fps with a ROF of about 15 rnd/sec.. With .25g bbs, it penetrated a full (ie new and unopened) Nestle Pure Life water bottle in single shot, and the water poured out. It will penetrate 2 layers of really thick cardboard no problem, and occasionally 3 in single shot. Full auto just bores a hole.
The more I use the M150, the more it will settle down to a proper velocity, but it is new so the spring will be a little stiff for awhile.
It's funny, because the 12v batteries for use with the M150 kit are only 1200mah, but some guys in Europe who use them say you can get up to 30 mags (120 rnd) on a single charge. Think about it. 3000+ rounds at 15 rnd/sec at 500 fps on 1200mah!! That's absolutely the most impressive performance there is.
I simply must buy another (and will when they land in Canada).

| I can always shoot Wayne, and he can show you the SCARS!!!!
There will be some big OPS this year. I plan to attend as many as I can. You guys should come out to 1 or 2. Then I will even let you shoot it.
My CQB PTW is sitting in customs as we speak. Another 2 weeks or so and I'll have that one as well, provided airsoft can survive that long.

| I am greatly impressed with the efficiency of those guns, kudos to SystemA for re-engineering the Airsoft gun. Now if I had just bought one of those before wasting my money on all my other guns...
Any word if those self-assembly kits are still kicking around?

| I spoke with Mark at A&A on the phone today. He told me how he almost didn't send me my M4 as he wanted to keep it for himself. He has 8 more, all CQB length, sitting in customs right now. He has 4 kits (all sold) and 4 assembled MAX PTWs (I have dibs on one of those).
Ah well, I didn't really need that $2000 anyways. It was just a nuisance to keep it, so I might as well just spend it. It's not like I'm ever going to buy another airsoft gun, so might as well make my last purchase a good one.

| What you see there cost me about $8000, and that was getting a steal on a used M16. New, add another $1200 to my total. By the time I bring the M16 up to MAX standards and buy a couple of batteries for it and an M130 kit, I will be at about $9000 invested in 3 guns, plus whatever optics I put on the M16.
The CASVs are King Arms, and the holosights are Hurricane E552 clones.
I reserve the real stuff for my real AR, as they are quite expensive and difficult to get these days, at least new anyways.
Now you understand why I could not keep any other AEGs. The money I've put into these guns took years of saving, buying and selling gear and all other airsoft guns I owned.

Thanks for posting those up Brad, very very nice.

| See Dave, I told you I'd get them, but it wasn't easy. Each one took over a month to get, then I waited for a month for Jugglez to get together all the little do-dads.
Then there's the expense. But I promised my wife I'd pay back all the money I took off my credit card for this.
If Wayne would put together a game up his way and invite us all, then you could see them with only a small road-trip.

| Sure... put the pressure on the guy who's willing to travel. I don't really have a field where I can host anything big yet, but hopefully we'll be able to start hosting games soon. I still have to scout out Dustin's place once the snow is gone so we have a better idea of what kind of terrain is available. | |
