| yep, internet sucks : took me that long to understand the story but I'm glad to hear your place is ok with the police ! BTW is the club a "real" one (as a sport club) ? I saw that you have a partnership with a gear dealer, do you want to do the same for parts too ? Anyway the best news for me is the indoor place : if you guys buy this place for CQB only, you'll be my heroes !! I don't like the bush too much and would love a CQB zone for the long winter (heated, pop & chips vending machine ?? ) So now I need SWAT gear !! | |

| Awesome! Yeah we have been looking into indoor places for awhile now. I am looking into many locations that friends of my parents have said that we might be able to use. I am just trying to figure out which ones would be good locations for specific Airsoft use. When I do find a place and have all the kinks worked out (Hopefully one day soon) I would want this place to be checked out by the NIA leaders and cleared by them before we used it. Due to many conversations that I have had with them on other sites, which I agree with them 100% But yeah, an indoor place in my dream as well! I am really tierd of playing in the bush (Allthough nothing is wrong with that, and I will probably play in the bush forever LOL) and I would like some heated indoor batles. I have been talking with alot of players from Toronto and they all play indoors, and from the video's I have seen, thats exactly what I want to do. Although I also wish there was an abandoned town in the middle of nowhere we could claim! LOL Shemagh | |

| I'm confused again... I read on your website that the land is private and you're trying to contact the owner I hope I'm wrong 'cause if not that doesn't smell good | |

| THE LAND IS PRIVATELY OWNED. I AM CURRENTLY TRYING TO CONTACT THE LAND OWNER AND GET HIS PERMISSION, (WHICH I'M SURE HE WILL SAY YES, BECAUSE HE'S SEEN US PLAY PAINTBALL OUT THERE BEFORE) BECAUSE THE POLICE SAID THAT WE WERE FINE PLAYING THERE. | |

| I hope you understand our HUGE hesitation knowing that you were playing on private land without permission from the owner with replica assault rifles...this isn't paintball...you need to be way more careful than that to get me out to play there.
you have a site dedicated to a great playing area that is owned by someone else that you have not contacted yet.
Please feel free to use the playing sites listed here or call predator paintball (563-3887) and play there.

| I know every single one of us are starting to sound like broken records but I feel a need to offer a cautionary word in this thread. I was listening to my scanner a few days ago, and a report of an individual brandishing a firearm in full view of the public was reported. The individual was taken into custody and the weapon (both fortunatly & UNfortunatly) turned out to be an airsoft weapon. Just another warning to ensure all weapons invisible the the publics eyes while playing/transporting. I don't have to tell anyone to not wave them around in the city center as I know you're ALL smarter than that Thanks guys, and sorry for sounding like a broken record | |

| Ha ha ha, yeah, we are starting to sound like ASC.
I will now play the part of good ol' Greylocks.
Read the FAQ, read the FAQ again, and finally, one game with the club will anwer more questions than a year on the forum.
They are wise words that save a lot of grief. Seriously, play a few games, get an idea how others are playing the game and then go back and improve upon it.
I see no serious issue with other groups of people starting up factions within the community (heck, I am guilty as charged with my squad agenda).
I do have an issue if the nessessary safety precautions are not followed. It damages the sports reputation in the community (both ASC and PG) and some of us have been working hard with both the Police and Rod&Gun to get the sport recognized as safe and acceptable.
We all have started at the grass roots here, we were in your place a mere 2 years ago, we have gone through many trials and wish to share our experiences. Come to our games, we can all share our experiences and explore both our old fields and potential new fields, it sounds like we may have access to some very lucritive playing areas.

| This post is because of a PM that made me aware that I had lied about biff and shemagh. I had said Quote: I hope you understand our HUGE hesitation knowing that you were playing on private land without permission from the owner with replica assault rifles...this isn't paintball...you need to be way more careful than that to get me out to play there.
From what they have said they have not played there. I do appologize for making assumptions. It was not meant to be slanderous towards Biff and shemagh
I still want to get to know you and play sometime but we have done what you are doing now in looking for an area to play in.
The liability of having someone game on your property without insurance is huge. Even just organizing a game makes you liable to be sued if something goes wrong. We are trying to protect the land owner and you.
If you get permission from him after letting him know that anyone who plays on his land can sue him if they get hurt then great. Make sure you get something written as he can just call the cops for trespassing and there is nothing you can do.
All of this makes me lean towards just playing insured paintball fields unless games are by invite only. They are protected and the organizers are somewhat protected when we use their land. Doesn't matter to me if it is paintball or airsoft, the legal risk for having new players out is becoming to great.

| Thank you so much, we will definately make sure that every area is 100% safe and unseen by anyone but ourselves. I deffinately agree with the liability issues and new players. Games like these can sure be a heck of alot harder to start and organize than any paintball game I have done. LOL. And we are looking into alot of places to play this year, but I just need some more time when my familiy isn't needing me 100% of the time. | |
