| just to add another element to your laptop, I bought a gps for my laptop which is now dead, and probably won't replace till next year leaving me with an unusable gps. Let it go cheap, comes with usb cable and the Microsoft streets and trips software. The neat thing is you can create gps trails, it'll track speed , direction, and elevation in real time .... interested? | |

| Well, the laptop I have for the Sim games is over 5 years old, but is titanium shelled, thus take a BB? The only problem is that, though I scored it for free, it is a mac and thus I don't think that the drivers for the GPS will work on a 5 year old mac. Still, that is very cool that you have a gps kicking around. Since GPS's are airsoft related, I am sure that you could put that up in our gear buy and sell -Doug | |

| I'm building 4 IEDs for use in my upcoming game in 2 weeks. They are active devices which can be manually disarmed, but not without risk to the user or the guy disarming it. They will use noise as the "explosion" simulation and can be hidden in a variety of innocent looking objects. They are manually detonated via a switch from a distance of 25 feet.
It would be cool to incorporate them with a computerized fire control system, but these were designed for use by insurgents to kill Infidels, quick and dirty.
Man, all this talk of "IED", "insurgent" and "Infidel" probably just caught the attention of the NSA. Maybe if I say "Allah" and "bomb", I'll get a knock on the door later tonight!!! | |

| Hahahahahaha too funny, I'm sure they are spending millions of dollars of tax money surfing the net looking for some jackass posting shoit like that. I was thinking that some training claymore would be cheap and easy to make using solar ignightors for rocket engines a battery, switch and of course screecho fireworks. If you trip it your position is given away. I dunno, just one of those goofy ideas I had, but might be a fire danger bieng there's so much bug kill around here. | |

| Muhammad Jihad!? Dirka dirka?
I agree, most IED's are cellphones with some crap strapped on, or something else cheap and readily available used as a detonator.
This is gamed at something a little less typical then the usually middle-east scenario games we are seeing as of late. More reminiscent of bad 80's action flicks. It would be interesting to combine this with a remote target but that would be a logistical nightmare. It some games in the past, a aluminum briefcase with a deadman switch made for an entertaining bomb diffuse.
Still, laptop, + 80 styles bomb case = great sim prop that is completely customizable from game to game so people will always be kept guess. Also great for scenarios where you need to get the information first before diffusing or risk pressing random buttons.
