Inner Barrel Length - G36

Ok, since I can't afford a systema right now, I'll have to start a different project. Since I traded the P90 for a second G36c, I've decided that I must have a G36. I ordered the scoped carry handle and the six hole front handguard and extended outer barrel, but I have no idea what length inner barrel I'm going to need. Does anyone know? Also, if I go to the longer barrel, will I need to get a different cylinder installed? I'm already planning on getting Dave to put in metal bushings and a stronger spring, so it'll be opened up anyway. I'm hoping it'll look similar to this:

Yep, I saw that thread, but there's conflicting info in the thread.

Mr. G36! claims 495mm
huang claims 363mm

Considering the G36k is 355mm, I don't think an extra 8mm is long enough when the real steel G36 has a barrel 162mm longer than a G36k.



It's not a big deal, I can wait until I get the parts and measure the difference between stock i/b and desired length. It'd just be nice to have the inner barrel when I have it apart.

What for? The only thing I ever mount is a scope or an RDS.

I like the look of a stock G36, I just want to have the full-length version and have a moderate upgrade in fps and accuracy.

Besides, you've already got the monster G36 with a RAS.

Oh... and I think Dave meant that demand for gunsmithing in PG has gone down for him. You guys do your own.

Which reminds me, Dave how much for metal bushings, a spring that'll get me about 350 fps, and a non-ported cylinder for my TM G36c?

True, but there is definitely a need for more people to upgrade in town!!! Makes a serious difference in game play having that extra 50 feet of engagement. Look at Chinese Gun and how much it Pwn'd at the last game. Even I ran away from it out of fear!

Never even saw him the whole game.....

He was bunkered in. Maybe never saw him, but if you got near the Blue base, you would have certainly been shot at by him. 2x the range of anyone else with the stock guns, frightening even behind cover.

As mentioned in another thread, we will have to get together and have a Mech day, discuss how guns work, how to upgrade, how to improve seals, and how to use the hop-up. I think that people will see a value when two guns are put side by side and shot, showing the differences.
