| make sure there are no BBs in the chamer and look down the feeding tube to watch the travel of the nozzle. On semi it should move back and forth with each shot, full auto it should go back and forth to the rhythm of box. I suspect a tappet plate/nozzle issue or a bad mag. | |

| Did you disassemble the hop up unit? If you did, I'm thinking that the hop up unit is not properlly seated in place and causing it to miss fire.
As long as your tappet plate/nozzle move, and you can switch between semi and full then its an issue with feeding and creating a seal.
Do what Horton suggested first and go from there. Highly suggest that in the future to take apart of new guns (new version of mechbox) in the company of someone who knows what they're doing... hey, I bet Horton's free! Haha.
Canadian Tire carries the white grease. Hence the reference to CT; however, I bet Chieftain carries it.

| yes ive never seen that b4 where the bb would catch the rubber part of the hopup and roll it into the barrel that's just weird... stupid biobb's.
as a side note i fixed the double stacked mags one had the cap missing that held the spring in so i ran a screw across the bottom.
and i stretched both springs about 4 inches and that seems to have fixed the problem with them not feeding i threw a couple hundred rounds through it last night using both of my mags and hortons and didnt have any issues other than the unpolised bb's jamming where the double stack narrows near the nossle of the mag on mine but that wont be an issue at games as i will use polished bb's

| so feeding issues infact continue today unfortuntly o forgot daves mag at work so have nothing else to use to see if it fixes the problem however i can get it it feed sometimes so i highly suspect that these two mags or no good
worse yet i just found out that the mags i ordered are infact the same as the two u have that don't work which is a major pita cause there was no brand markings or anything to tell me what the two i have were

| Do you have a report with those new mags you ordered?
I won't worry if the mags you just ordered are the same brand. Sounds like the mags you got just sucked. Most mags (unless mag mags, or stars) work out of the box.

| they worked all right. it doesn't seem to feed if im in semi-auto but if im in full auto it does though only after its dry fired a couple times. as a side note i tried daves front end on my gun which means different hop-up and inner barrel and life was good no matter what mag i used or if i shot semi or full auto.
also its only shooting at a speed that varies between 255-and 270 fps i would kinda like to get that up around the 330 fps level. so im thinking new spring.

| change your hop-up bucking for sure if my front end fed fine with them.
If you can find a Gaurder sp90 they get right around 330. I have some cut down springs that you could try out.

| ill give the cut down spring a try the other q i have is that since force applied by the spring is directly proportional tot he distance compressed times the spring constatnt for that spring theoreticly i could achieve hicher fps rates by shimming the spring with washers. so long as the washers dont stick out and interfere with the piston | |

| it's funny I have just been thinking the same thing. You would want a metal spring guide as it would put pressure on parts that are meant to guide not take force but I believe it's totally do able. The spring guide is tapered as well so different size washers would give different results. There isn't a tonne of room to work with in those gear boxes though so it would take a lot of dremeling.
Do you want me to drop a spring off at the office? $5 for the spring if I can find it.

| GOOD NEWS!!!!!
I FIXED THE FEEDING PROBLEM. though the gun is very pikky what ammo i put through it. but i knoew that to be a mag issue not a gun issue. turns out i just had to make sure i didn't push the barrel half a mm to far when i pushed it into the hopup. which was made much easier by licking the rubber sleeve cause then it slid in rlly nicely.
