| good shimming will keep it from binding and wearing to quickly but can't reduce the stress enough on the gears to compess a spring that strong. The TM gears run really smooth but are not that hard, they will lose a tooth sooner than later with a 380 in there. | |

| metal cyl head with 2 o-ring, ported piston head, gears, motor (should be rather difficult since the one in there is completely unmarked), eventually i may switch the upper receiver for a civi version but i am growing rather fond of the scope. i just have to figure out some way to adjust the iron sight cast as part of the scope tube | |

| If you're upgrading your box that much make sure you don't go with cheap stuff. If you're trying to build a mechbox that is going to put up with shooting 350fps + you're going to have to spend some money. Stay with the name brand guys, non of those Chinese clones. Their quality control isn't as good and can be a nightmare when you try to do upgrades and something isn't quite right. Take a look at www.airsoftparts.ca. Jon has great stuff for cheap. Also don't forget to get a metal spring guide and a good piston. Your piston is getting worked just as hard as your gears. | |

| I've had good luck with Modify stuff. Make sure you use some Blue Threadlock on the threads connecting the piston and head. I had one back off and destroy stuff. | |

| Yup, Modify makes some good stuff. Their gearsets are innovative and work great.
But for the most part, I was referring to chinese knock offs. Good rule of thumb. Stay away from any internals on ebaybanned. I've had some bad experiences with parts that guys bring into me not fitting or just falling apart. | |
