New AK's feautre wooden grips, steel bodies and some better looking trades and markings. I love the look of that little AK, same one seen in Black Hawk Down.

350 fps stock and 7mm gearboxes... I would actually consider buying one of these if they come into Canada. Nice to see AK's being done in different models rather than the 47 and 47s over and over and over.

Link to Classic Army's line up-Way better selection then when I got into airsoft. All they had then was the basic armalites and some MP5s. Now they have G3, G36, AK's, specialized armalites, support weapon, AUGs and the SCAR.

Yeah, I agree Dave. CA has really started to come to speed. Then again, look at the Armalite line up Star is coming out with, all is direct competition to TM. Truth be told, I rather get the CA over TM anyday, better materials used, up'd mechbox, better looking selection to choose from.

Now if only they released the SCAR in black, I really hate desert.

do you any reviews or info on these new star M series? Do they still use high quality plastic in their gear box?

The scar has more rails than a G36, top bottom and sides and they are very long too. Ambi fire selector (unlike most M series). there must be tonnes of empty space in the front end of the scar with how thick it is.

You are right Dave, tons of space both front and back, could do a crazy 6000mah battery mod in that sucker

I have not heard anything on the Star M series but I assume they will be using their custom mechboxes (which ain't bad, if you have all starguns, then you can buy the red box and move it from gun to gun, or all three colors and fast swap for CQB, norm, and high).

On another note, it is interesting that they are using a metal mechbox of their own design, certainly looks promising what Star is putting out. I just wonder how much is plastic, how much is pot-metal, and how much is steel.

Awwwh, the image link is dead... I am assuming that it is the scorpion though? I really hated that gun in 007 Golden Eye for the N64... That hate carries on even today, but I am sure the airsoft version will be quite decent.

But yah let's hope its better than the MP7 and more useful than AEP's

Any word on the internals? Ver.6 or 7? or AEP internals... eww... (I am pretty sure that it will be AEP, at least that is what the line up of the TM Mac11, Steyr TMP, MP7, and VZ61 is stating).

But for defense of the AEP, you can get internal upgrades that make it into an excellent CQB gun. Maybe when we actaully get some local CQB going, these guns will look more interesting.

I have been waiting for the VZ61 to come out for ever. There is a little MAC coming soon as well.
